so i've taken all of the wood and taken a bunch of nails out of the boards that i could (some have way too many nails and they broke off, so those boards aren't salvagable). now i have to process the boards into usable material because they came from that bench that was sitting outside forever. the semiprocessed boards are on the left. i used a planer to take away the top layer and then i'm using 80 grit sandpaper on the orbital sander to even it out. i think i need to go get 40 grit sandpaper because it's not taking off enough material.

the rightmost picture is where i'm doing the work. the table isn't sturdy so the legs keep falling off. but it's fun, so i'm vibing! i also turned this like, small concrete room into a shed so now i keep all of my tools and wood in there (middle two pictures).

now the next few days are looking like processing the wood planks into usable material and then figuring out how to build something with what i have.

Five processed wood planks, planed and sanded smooth, leaning against a concrete wall, labeled 'today's processed boards'. A concrete storage room with a red toolbox, boxes, paint cans, and other tools stacked in the corner. Wood planks leaning against a concrete wall inside the shed, lit by a work light. An outdoor wooden work table holding clamps, a sander, and work gloves, next to a wood fence.
