08.20.25 during early 2025, I transitioned to only paying things in my day-to-day life in cash. this stemmed from losing my debit and credit cards, which forced me to either use apple pay or cash and apple pay can eat shit. I also thought I would like the lifestyle of paying with cash, and about 6 months in, I really do like it.

Going to the bank frequently, adding that extra stop and errand in my life. Working with a resource throughout the week to help me budget. Paying at a restaurant and leaving the cash on the table. At the bar. I always have coins to pay the parking meter. It’s nice. Street tacos are never an issue and I always have coins on hand to make a wish in a fountain.

Some places don’t take cash. fuck those places.

This is a bit that I think I’ll be holding for a while. I really love it and the patterns in life that have come from it. not much more to say.
